Terauhinas PhD research explores Māori experiences of social media misinformation and disinformation, particularly identity and wellness information in the context of colonisation and racism. Her work seeks to challenge and dismantle colonial narratives persistent in digital spaces, emphasizing the importance of Māori epistemologies in contemporary digital discourse.

The research is supervised by Associate Professor Angela Moewaka Barnes and Professor Tim McCreanor.
