Rosie Gallen
Rosie is a PhD student with Shore/Whariki, researching the practice of community development and how it can help public housing contribute to wellbeing for residents and communities.
She is a recipient of the Massey Vice-Chancellors Doctoral Scholarship and is supervised by Professor Karen Witten and Dr Penelope Carroll.
She is a Community Development and Engagement practitioner with over 20 years’ experience working at the interface between government and with communities affected by change and in senior leadership roles in public housing. Her philosophy is that people and communities have a right to have a say on issues that affect them and is committed to keeping them central to any decision-making process.
